"An island within an island"

The family Androutsopoulos moved to Corfu in the mid seventies enchanted by the special beauty of the island. They had found the perfect spot - a group of old olive press buildings, some of them dating back to Venetian times! - near the small village of Sgombou in the centre of the island somewhere between Gouvia and Paleokastritsa. The Corfu MTB Shop on approx. 5 Km and 12 Km from Kerkyra. As interior designers they restored the thick stone walls, the clay tile roofs, the high cross-beamed ceilings and the vaulting stone arches. One of the most beautiful landscaped gardens of Corfu was laid out with a lovely swimming pool screened by climbing roses, and for each cottage a private pergola, covered by jasmine and bignonia. Special care has been taken in the choice of traditional furniture and fabrics, and in equipping each self-catering cottage (total of ten, each with its own outdoor area and accommodating from 2 to 5 guests) to a very high degree of comfort and convenience. A place with GREAT hospitality and open throughout the year!

Nearby are a mini-market, taverna, ceramic and iron workshops and the local "green" bus stop. Upon arrival a welcome pack will be provided and we recommend to book your favourite traditional cottage together with your Giant mountainbike well in advance.
